The nice fellas at Beatport asked me for a chart and I made one. Instead of traditional “best of the moment top 10” I spent some time and searched old school gems that might be unknown for new faces (and ears). Unfortunately lot of the classic trance releases from labels like MFS, Guerilla and Eye-Q or artists like Jam & Spoon or Visions of Shiva are not available digitally but I managed to find some of my all time faves. Some still sound nice, some more dated but all are full of emotion and important pieces in the development if this culture. I’m always more interested in looking into the future rather than past, but during these days of “super fastly consumed music” it’s good moment to lean back, chill out and have a think of where we’re coming from.
